It may be something odd with that keyboard. So I am not sure why they are not working for you.I'll have to dig deeper into this.

I browsed trough running processed in task manager, saw nothing media related.Judging from the log, it appears that the media Windows media keys are not failing to register as hot keys. I browsed trough running processed in task manager, saw nothing media related. Tried this too, no change.Īgain, when I launch my default media player ('Media Player Classic'), media keys are working. There's an option in the kb settings to switch behaviour and have shortcuts/media keys accessible on direct F key action. In the Use Production Numbers for New Media Keys, click Yes or No to replace. (maybe it would be if I chose "open with." from a right click on an audio file, but anyway this is not a setting I want)īTW : I have a logitech keyboard with media keys (and other shortcuts) accessible by 'Fn' + pressing on F keys. From the Production Run Parameters section, in the Document Range list. (also roon integration is important or perhaps, or at least, a Deezer multi room solution) I’m sure I’m in the majority that would like the media keys to work flawlessly like they do with Spotify and iTunes, ext.23:12:48.017 Squeezelite-X, Version: 2.4.18 I bring this up because I root for Deezer and I really hope you guys can fix these things like this and not break it ever.

It’s way better and defeats companies like Apple and Spotify from trying take over podcasting with their greedy arrogant dictator like little fingers. This is totally off topic, but I hope Deezer uses the Podcasting 2.0 index. One reason I’m getting off of Spotify is that they are trying to create a closed network for podcasting and inserting their own ads into other people’s content, which I’m very opposed to. Trying to get off of Spotify for a number of reasons, as I believe many people are, especially these days, and I don’t trust what Jay-Z or the next owners are going to do with Tidal. This is a deal breaker for me since I play music at work and need to be able to quickly hit pause when my phone rings. Hotkeys really should be something that are designed to work with the program in the background for those that don’t have media keys on their keyboard. Also there should be a section in the settings for keyboard settings and for testing and troubleshooting media keys.

I second too that the hot keys should be customizable and they should work with the program in the background. The hot keys don’t work if the Deezer window isn’t active. When the Deezer is active the keyboard media keys still don’t work. Even if I have two of those other players open in the background, they both play/pause if I hit play/pause. I also have Spotify, itunes and windows media player installed and all of those work when running even in the background. Also changed the default program for mp3’s. It’s installed under my appdata local folder. I’ve tried to run as admin and google play ext has never been installed and I installed the Deezer Control extension. Just installed Deezer 5.30.80 a couple of days ago and the media keys on my keyboard haven’t worked once.
